Time, The scarcest resource

Time the scarcest resources

1. Dictionary definition of time:

Time is what we measure in hours, minutes, days and years; it is the duration in which all things happen. It refers to the period that we spend doing something. Time is equally available for all; it comes and goes. Time is priceless and costly;time is free and available for everyone. If we value time, time will be valuable and we will be blessed. But if onewastes time, time is so powerful that one can be definitely destroyed by time. Time is usually determined by a CLOCK but time is also determined by our action and psychological condition. This aspect of time adds new dimensions to how time may be perceived. Here we go

2. Various dimensions of time:

Time is slow when you wait. (A person in a queue to submit a form)

Time is fast when you are late.
(A student getting late for the first class). When we start our day late, it seems, we are getting late everywhere the whole day.

Time is short when you are happy.
(The moment we feel great enjoyment, time becomes limited)

Time is endless when you are in pain/sad. (Often, we hear a saying that when we are happy, we enjoy the music but when we are sad, we feel every words in the lyrics and compare them with Dur own feelings. The period of anxiety and pain seem endless).

Time is long when you are bored.
(students attendhng a class and every now and then looking at their adorable watches.as if their watches have stopped their movement and thee period has become never ending

Every time, time is determined by our feelings and psychological conditions and not by clock

 3. Importance of time and its management:

Often, most of our lives are so disorganised, we lack planning, we don't prioritize our work and then our work goes on piling to form a huge bulk of pending work. Then finally we annoyingly retort NO TIME. But time is a tree, available for all. No one has ample time for a particular work, it is just that one must extract time from one's busy schedule. So, to make time available for works, one must organise one' s lite and prioritise the work that needs to be done urgently."Life and time are the world's best teachers, quotes Dr APj Abdul Kalam. Life teaches us to make good use of time and time teaches us the value of life. Time has a great influence on one s lite. what we accomplish during a 24-hour period depends on our own motivation, our energy, our skills and abilities, and other resources. Since there is always demand on our time, it may be helpful to think about what we will do with our time and to consider some strategies for more effective time management.

Time is running very fast and once it is gone, it's gone for ever. Lost time can never be regained and hence, one must realze the value of time. Let's realize it -

*Realize the value of ONE YEAR, ask a student who failed a semester.

*Realize the value of ONE MONTH, ask a mother who gave birth to a premature baby.

*Realize the value of ONE WEEK, ask the editor of a weekly newspaper.

*Realize the value of ONE DAY, ask a daily wage laborer with kids to feed.

*Realize the value of ONE HOUR, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.

*Realize the value of ONE MINUTE, ask a person who missed the train.

*Realize the value of ONE SECOND, aska Person wDo Just avOIded an accident.

*Realize the value of ONE MILLISECOND, ask the person who won a silver medal in the Olympics.

4. HOW ARE WE SPENDING OUR TIME (LIFE)?
ln an average human ite span of oo years, onan average how we spend our time-

*5 Years in eating
*1Year in looking for misplaced objects (that's me: quite a long8 period)
 *4 Years in bathroom
*10 Years in redoing
*6 Years in waiting
*5 Years in meetings
*5Years in Traveling
*17 Years in Sleeping
*13 Years in value added activities.

5.How to make best use of time.
The best use of time depends on how we ise our life. There are no such rules and Following rules and tips of others just make us handicapped. But one must be aware of one's doings and one's activities must be checked. To conclude, I must say, one should realize the valae of time and time will help one realize the Talse of life. We can make money but we can- not make time. The Chinese proverb says,"An   inch of gold cannot buy one second of time".

"Time is the scarcest resource and unless it is managed, nothing else can be managed"

                                  -Peter F Druck

on the come up by Angie thomas book review

🌼BOOK REVIEW🌼 Rating: 5/5⭐️ . . QOTD: What was the last book you gave a 5 ⭐️ rating? . . Angie Thomas’s writing is a gift to readers. Is that dramatic? Indeed. But I loved The Hate U Give so much, so I’m being truly earnest when I say that On The Come Up, her sophomore book, was amazing! . 🌸SYNOPSIS🌸 Seventeen-year-old Bri wants to make it as one of the greatest rappers of all time. She doesn’t just want to- she has to if it means saving her family from homelessness and filling their fridge with food. But it’s hard to get your come up when you’re labelled as “trouble” at school and Bri has to push through the prejudice to fight for her dreams. . 🌸 REVIEW🌸  This novel was brilliant, in all of its awareness and authencity. I felt Bri’s myriad of emotions as she struggled to do the right thing, even when she was admonished over and over again. Bri was a stubborn and hot-headed character, often making decisions that had even me, the most emphatic per...

Yashodhara by Volga book review

the story: The story of Siddhartha, the future Gautama Buddha, leaving the palace to start his spiritual journey and attain enlightenment has been told innumerable times over the centuries. And yet, have we never wondered why his young wife, Yashodhara, still recovering from the birth of their son nine days ago, sleeps soundly as her husband, the over-protected prince departs, leaving behind his family and wealth and kingdom? In Yashodhara, the gaps of history are imagined with fullness and fierceness: Who was the young girl and what shaped her worldview? When she married Siddhartha at the age of sixteen, did she know her conjugal life would soon change drastically? The Yashodhara we meet in Volga's feminist novel is quick-witted, compassionate and wants to pave a way for women to partake in spiritual learning as equals of men About the author: Volga is one of the most significant figures in contemporary Telugu literature. She received the Sahitya Akademi Award in...

Savarkar by Vikram Samantha Book Review

Savarkar: Echoes from a Forgotten Past  BooK story: As the intellectual fountainhead of the ideology of Hindutva, which is in political ascendancy in India today, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar is undoubtedly one of the most contentious political thinkers and leaders of the twentieth century. Accounts of his eventful and stormy life have oscillated from eulogizing hagiographies to disparaging demonization. The truth, as always, lies somewhere in between and has unfortunately never been brought to light. Savarkar and his ideology stood as one of the strongest and most virulent opponents of Gandhi, his pacifist philosophy and the Indian National Congress. An alleged atheist and a staunch rationalist who opposed orthodox Hindu beliefs, encouraged inter-caste marriage and dining, and dismissed cow worship as mere superstition, Savarkar was, arguably, the most vocal political voice for the Hindu community through the entire course of India's freedom struggle. From the heady days of...
